NFS Most Wanted: what system specs and how does it run.
I have a question for you guys. What kind of systemspecs do you have and how runs NFS Most Wanted on it. As you can see i have a pretty reasonable system but NFSMW runs like total ****. If i run it at 800x600 i can actually run it with aa and af fully on but i still have the framedrops. Therefore i think it's due to my cpu its running bad.
A friend of mine has the exact same systemspecs as i do (and when i say exact i mean exact, he even has the same brands of hardware  ) and on his system Most Wanted runs way better. So i'm really interested in how it runs on other peoples systems.

What a good game !
No problems at 1920x1200 using ArtMoney ... 45 to 60 fps ...
Everything at max apart from AA which is at 2x in the NVIDIA display settings (turned off or right down in-game).
Sorry I don't have any suggestions to help you out ... :(

Paddy -any way you could post how you make these changes in ArtMoney for NFSMW? Most noobs, such as myself don't 'get it' - Plz?

In another topic Awax wrote the following. I don't know if you already saw it but maybe it helps :D.
1 - Start ArtMoney
2 - Start NFSMW
3 - Set res to 800x600
4 - Alt+tab to ArtMoney
5 - Using the left button, search for 800
6 - Alt+Tab to NFSMW
7 - Set res to 1024x768
8 - Alt+tab to ArtMoney
9 - Using the second button, filter for 1024
10 - you should 10 to 20 matchings fields, pass all of them to the right part of the screen using the arrow in the middle
11 - Using the left button again, search for 768.
12 - Alt+Tab to NFSMW
13 - Set res to 800x600
14 - Alt+Tab to ArtMoney
15 - Using the second button, filter for 600. Again, you'll get from 10 to 20 matching fields
17 - Pass them on the right side of the screen.
18 - Replace all 800 by 1680 and 600 by 1050 (or your prefered screen res)
19 - Alt+Tab to NFSMW
20 - Enjoy
Actually, the FOV is 100% correct. The streched UI is the only "prob" but you'll quickly get used to it. Actually, it feels weird at the beginning if you've played with the 4:3 version. I'm at 49% game completion so far and when switching to 16:10, I had trouble finding the info on the screen because it was to wide :) ... or just wider than I was used to.

Yay ! Thank you, can't wait ! :D
NFS Most Wanted: what system specs and how does it run.
With the system below (rather old !), I can run at 1650x1080 smoothly with this kind of details :

I have road reflection turned on, even you can not notice it on this image.

Again, thumbs up guys for this great sollution. (i allready posted in the other topic on this :D)
Oke, back to the point why I started this topic. Are there more people with equal sysspecs as i have who have also problems running this game?
I can imagine why Paddy is running this game with everything at high and at 1920x1200. That is because your system is like twice as fast as mine  .

Running 1920 myself without probems. Try the new 5.12 Catalyst drivers, they gave me (and other ATI card users) a nice performance boost in this game.
A friend of mine is running the game just fine (@1600*1200) on similar specs as yours (A64 3500+, ATI X800GTO, 2GB ram). So don't know what exactly is causing the bad perfomance on your system :? Maybe try updating the motherboard drivers and/or install Ati Tray Tools to tweak the GPU settings (after setting "Flip Queu Size" to 0 a lot of weird 'stuttering' problems on my system disappeared ..maybe worth a try)
NFS Most Wanted: what system specs and how does it run.
Thanks for the tips. The newest catalyst drivers are allready installed on my system but the tray tool thingie is something i never heard of before. I'm going to try it out tonight. Also a motherboard update may be handy to do. I haven't done that in like a year now i think of it :D .

Keeping the mobo drivers up-to-date can prevent a lot of frustration .. I also learned that the hard way ;)
ps: you can get the latest version of ATT here: http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=733
It's a great app, it can even replace the whole catalast Control Panel/Center thingie (so less use of system resources, especially in comparsion to the CCC)
Good luck :)
NFS Most Wanted: what system specs and how does it run.
I know. I hate CCC. I think its even less user friendly than the CCpanel.
NFS Most Wanted: what system specs and how does it run.
Well, i have installed traytools now and i deinstalled CCP, and it does run better now. Only thing left to do is upgrading the bios. I think i'm going to do that this evening. Thanks for the help buddy :D .

With everything maxed out this game is a little jumpy on my PC, which is annoying. The framerate doesent drop below 30 (except when its at 1200x1600) but it just appears to jump every now and then.
I read on tweakguides that it was a bug in the code that meant it didnt run properly on dual core processors. Ive set it to run on only one core and still it jumps!
(specs of my pc are in the sig).
