This tool corrects the FOV and unlocks the framerate for Transformers: War for Cybertron. Retail version of the game is supported--not sure about other versions.

I have Steam version of the game and it just doesn't work at all. Is it normal? No new version?

Thanks.

Goodbye.

Sorry, I don't have the Steam version of the game and the memory locations are most likely different in the Steam executable, so the retail fix won't work.

I have the Steam version of the game (Content BuildID 21297) and can confirm TWFC FOV Tool and FPS Unlocker works on Windows 10 x64 and Windows 8.1 x64. I'm able to successfully change FOV and FPS.

Thank you very much GeneralAdmission for all your hard work in making this program!! The game looks and plays great again because of you!!

Hello miniduke,

The Steam executable must have different memory addresses related to the FOV values. That function in the tool forcibly overwrites specific values in memory so I'm not surprised that it causes an insta-crash. Sorry, but I don't have the Steam version of the game so there is no way to determine the correct addresses for that exe.

What about adding a memory scan for the sequence of values to be changed? That way it would work irregardless of version.

Hmmm, I originally bought the game on amazon as a stand alone download and install, yet did give me the choice of steam or non-steam installation, maybe if I re-install it as a stand alone game in my program files the fix will work on both FPS and FOV? I will report back if successful and THANK YOU for deliverance!

WORKS GREAT! :triplewide:
At first it didn't work, but (I don't know if this matters) I set both app and fixer to run as Admin under compatibility settings for the applications, and with a little trial and error found that my setup required the 3*16:9 setting and I used 120 Fps for the desired frame rate. I have to run the game windowed (or use SoftTH) to fit my monitor setup (see avatar photo) but yeah the FPS fix works I haven't messed with the FOV yet...
UPDATE: Not sure if the FOV fix works but the FPS is unlocked thankfully. No crash when I hit 9 so im thinking maybe it works based on my monitor config? Well, out of the box it was like FOV 60 in 3rd person which is too close for me...
So I just went ahead and used Flawless Widescreen to adjust the FOV and when used in concert with this great FPS Tool all is Kosher! (BTW I am using the Steam version)
Had to use Flawless Widescreen for a higher FOV.
