Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII - 21:9 Fix?

LR:FFXIII runs at 16:9 with black bars currently, and resolution is very limited. Would it be possible to get the game to run at a full 3440x1440?

I want to see the newer FF-Games in at least 21:9, too but doubt it will happen, since they're presumably console-ports which do not support a higher resolution than fullHD.
