OK, so I took back the Acer AL2216W and picked up a Samsung 940BW. The samsung was OK but I liked the specs of the LG L240WT better so I swapped the Samsung for that at Circuit City.

Got the LG home and hooked it up, installed the driver and holy schmoly what a great picture on this thing. Now for the bad news... every now and then the whole screen will flicker.. after that occurs images on the screen appear to shake.

In WoW, trees flicker, players flicker, anything I can see will flicker. If I minimize the screen then maximize it, it goes back to normal... until the next time it happens.

Bad monitor maybe?

EDIT: Well it quit doing it after about 15 minutes of running. Guess I got a cold natured monitor - lol. And I have to say again what a fantastic picture this monitor has... so much better than the Acer or Samsung I tried.
