Is someone playing Space Engine?

Post by Dxa58 »

Hi, I'm new to this forum! :)
I'm looking for some help and tips for recording Space Engine.
Also, If would someone would like to do a report for it for this websites Games Data Base, as it is not currently included in it.

For those who don't know what Space Engine is, here is the like for the website (http://en.spaceengine.org/)

The game is for Space exploration, allowing the player to travel far beyond what the eye can see.
Currently in beta, it is being open for donation to expand its' already impressive visual experience.
There is a aircraft mode, spacecraft mode and free mode, the controls and movement is quite impressive
UI is compact so it doesn't hinder the experience of immersion, and the game fully supports Multi-Monitor displays (I don't recall if i had to do any .ini changes) and offers a lot of configuration (main.cfg)
With a little boost from the (wealthy) Multi-Monitor enthusiasts the game would skyrocket (pun intended)

As a big fan of astronomy and beauty of our universe, I think that a lot of you Multi-Monitor gamers would really enjoy this!

I will attach a screenshot to show you my adventures!

Everything you see, you can visit!

These sure look very nice. Why don't YOU post a Detailed Report ? ;)
I've not been in a contemplative enough mood to "play" astronomical sims in a long time, but I remember checking out Celestia on my TripleHead2Go setup. You're totally right, we need more coverage of these beauties on the WSGF.

As I've said, I'm new to this forum and website. I would rather see it done by someone with more experience :)

I dunno, travelling light years across the universe sounds like enough experience... but if creating a game page is too much trouble, you could just post a screenshot comparison of the same spot at different aspect ratios.

By all means give this a try - http://www.wsgf.org/node/add/dr
Try fill in any blanks that you can, the form is well documented and we have revisions should you accidentally set something or mess something up, we can always revert.
Give it a try, no chance of any harm. You may even be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is :)
