This monitor has been in my interests because of how cheap it is but I've heard a couple people say that it's not good for gaming and one person even said it was unbearable. I have never had a good monitor before I've only used a $300 laptop with a tn panel and a 2010 IMac so if I bought this monitor would I be fine gaming on it and not noticing the difference. By the way I like to play FPS but I don't take them to a super serious level.

Well, IPS is not TN, but the average laptop is no hardcore gaming material, either. The higher response time of UWS panels compared to fast TN monitors shouldn't be a problem for you.
