Can't Use triple monitor setup with msi 7970

i recently acquired a third monitor for christmas, however i am unable to run all three at once. i am using a 7970 with standard 1x dvi, 1x hdmi, 2x mini displayport. I run a dvi to dvi cable to my main monitor, an hdmi to dvi to my second, and a mini display to dvi to my third. I can run all monitors but only two at once. I'm not sure what the issue is as i have installed the latest drivers for my card and each monitor works fine. An answer/tip would be appreciated .

By the sounds of it you are using a passive mini-DP to DVI adapter, in order to enable all 3 displays at once you would need to use an active mini-DP to DVI adapter.
