Ergotech Triple Monitor Stand can't adjust!!

Hi everyone

I'm new here and have a question. I recently purchased the ergotech triple Monitor stand and set it up with three 24 inch Asus monitors. I can't for the life of me get the side monitors to line up properly with the center monitor. It doesn't even seem possible with the amount of difference I am seeing.

I must be doing something wrong I cannot quite figure it out. I even tried to unscrew the brackets which I could not seem to do due to how tight they were.

Please help!!
