Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition FOV fix

Post by r9800pro »

The game uses Unreal Engine and although menus seem fine, when in game it is zoomed in so much, it is unplayable

I tried to look for ini files but couldn't find it

Any help would be much appreciated

I've dispatched the FOV fix/HUD fix I've been working on, Click "Update Plugins" in Flawless Widescreen - should show up in Available Plugins or automatically install depending on your options.

The HUD is still not fixed currently.

Seems like most modern fighting games have inherent issues with "zooming in". Or growth hormone usage is rampant.

Maybe the next DOA will crop off the heads.

It is fixed, then? Worth playing in triple-monitor?

Tested the fix on 5760x1080 eyefinity, fov fix makes this game playable, although the HUD is seriously fucked up, its zoomed in occupying 2/3 screens.

Waiting for the HUD fix to actually play this game, thanks for the work so far hayden.

Hey Hayden,

Any progress on a fix for the HUD? Game seems to run perfectly in surround with flawless widescreen running, minus the health bars and interface when in combat. I'd be eternally grateful if that one little detail was figured out. :D

Thanks man!

I could not play on 3 screens because it looked very closely and found this solution:

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Flawless Widescreen\PluginCache\FWS_Plugins\Modules\MortalKombatKomplete\Dependencies\Scripts open MortalKombatKomplete.lua (notepad)
Look for:

function FOVSlider_Changed(Sender)

fAdditionalFOV = Sender:GetScaledFloat(5)
UpdateFOVCalculator_AdditionalFOV("FOVCalculator",fAdditionalFOV)
lblFOVSlider.Caption:SetCaption( string.format("Value: %.2f",fAdditionalFOV) )
ForceUpdate()

end
Change fAdditionalFOV = Sender:GetScaledFloat(5) to fAdditionalFOV = Sender:GetScaledFloat(0)

You can play :)
I hope you have served
PD: My english suck XD
