Getting games to run properly on a 21:9 display
Getting games to run properly on a 21:9 display
Many of the games I play will run at 2560x1080 but there are some that will not work properly. dark souls is a perfect example. when you set the resolution to my native res the screen goes blank temporarily then just defaults back to 1080p, witch would not be a problem if the game didn't stretch to fit my display. So my question is how can i get the games the just won't run at native res to play at 16:9.

Note: I've moved the topic to the 21:9 area.
There should be an option in your monitor controls regarding stretching. You are looking for options to either "maintain aspect" or "1:1" stretch. You may also find these in your GPU control panel.

I posted the solution for what you describe in Dark Souls PTDE here
