Witcher 2 Eyefinity Troubles

Post by chumphries »

Hi all,

I'm new to PC gaming and have just setup my first gaming rig. I'm currently trying to play The Witcher 2 (Assasins of Kings Steam Version) I'm currently running the following setup:
* Window 8.1 64 bit version
* 16 GB RAM
* AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB Graphics Card
* 3 Acer 1920x1200 monitors in widescreen setup (1xHDMI, 1xDisplayPort, 1xDVI)

If I run Eyefinity, the game is replicated on all 3 screens. If I run my displays in Extended mode, the game only shows on the center screen. I've tried the current version of Widescreen Fixer in both configurations and I can't get the setup to work. The game gives me no option to run in a windowed mode and alt-tabbing out causes the game to crash.

Could anyone offer any suggestions on how to get it working using all 3 monitors?

Thanks so much in advance for the help.

Have you tried Flawless Widescreen?

My hardware is out of date and I haven't tried Win8, so I don't have much to suggest on those fronts.

I was able to get it working. I had to update to the current AMD beta drivers and use Widescreen Fixer to get it to work. The HUD is off, so I'm going to look into that next.
