So I read a bunch of threads, and thought I would ask anyway... Am I nuts for sitting 5 29" monitors on my desk, ~2-3 feet from eyes to monitor? Is that going to just be too large? Here are the monitors I am looking at these monitors and then debezeling them.

Re: 5x1P 29" monitors
It's not that crazy, honestly it's just a taller version of doing 5x1 P with 23" 16:9 panels. It's not going to have that high of a FOV. In fact it will have a smaller amount than a single 21:9 Monitor.

But its gonna be Huge! Which is great xD
If its to big or not can only be determined after seeing it in Real life. Sadly there are not many 5x1P out there.
*points at suiken* lucky we have the Pro right here.

Theoretically this is not that different from 3x1P 30": slightly higher total width, exact same height. Of course being 5x1P it does sound nuts
but not impractical.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I thought I would ask before I drop some cash into monitors and see if I was missing something obvious.... like oh by the way its so tall you cant actually see the top or bottom effectively, and same for the edges.

This can happen. I've done 5x1P with 30"rs, and actually this is a problem with 3x1P with 30"rs (and these 29" 21:9 are going to be taller than 16:10 30"rs in portrait. What I did to get around this was to split up the desktop with Hydravision. The top like 4 inches were very hard to see. You could also try using %125 scaling. But this is only an issue with desktop use, not games.
