Resolution upscaling - Hostile Waters

Is there anyway to upscale a lower resolution to a higher? I want it to happen specifically for this game, Hostile Waters Antaeus Rising. 1280x1080 to 1920x1080 or 1440x1080 depending if forced widescreen would be possible.

There are two DWORDs for X and Y-axis and if I try to force 1440x1080 the game resets to default 640x480 and if I choose 1920x1080 in the given menu when I start HostileSetup.exe the game becomes stretched.
