No One Lives Forever 2?

Anyone figured out how to manage it? Not many people really freaked out about this game though, so Im not expecting much help.

Doesn't this use the same engine as Aliens versus Predator 2?

The AVP2 solution should work for this, then! :D

Thanks for the heads up, Nitro. :)

This is not working for me in NOLF2. When I change my autoexec.cfg file for the game, it reverts back to 1024x768 settings when I load up the game. Would there be a way to force the screenwidth and screenheight options from the cfg file? I am assuming there should be a way since it works for AVP2.

I'm trying to get this to work on a Dell 2005fpw. BTW I notice in the AVP2 thread, there are a total of 4 settings to be adjusted in autoexec.cfg:

"SCREENWIDTH" "1280"
"GameScreenHeight" "720"
"SCREENHEIGHT" "720"
"GameScreenWidth" "1280"

But there are only 2 settings in the NOLF2 cfg file:

"SCREENWIDTH"
and
"SCREENHEIGHT"

Adding the additional "GameScreen..." options does not help. The game actually erases these from the cfg file when you load it up.

So is there a solution or not? I'd like to reinstall the game but if I can be saved the trouble of discovering if there is WS or not by someone else that would be helpful.

You can force the resolution higher, but apparently the field of view (FOV) is hard-coded in each level. :-/

So you have to use a cheat code to change it each time? That's annoying.

I saw these two lines at the bottom of the config:

[code]pvmodelaspect 1.2
pvmodelfov 65

I'm going to try and change the fov line and see if it does anything.

For 1280x768 fov should be 81.25 but I'll just try 81

Remember, this game came out in late 2002. Widescreen gaming really wasn't a consideration for companies. Heck, just look at how many are just starting to fully support 5.1 sound in games.

I just reinstalled this game after a few installs and reinstalls but still haven't played it yet.

I take it there is no solution to this then?

(just tried setting the display.cfg to read only and there is no choice in the game. It didn't get overwritten yet as I alt tab. Too bad there is no play in window option)

seems like setting 1920x1440 works ok. Fills the screen and doesn't look stretched.
