So i noticed a few games for me have mouse axis issues that make them entirely unplayable on a 3x1 system.
Bioshock 2 and Metro 2033 are the two i have come across recently, which really sucks as i want to play both of them!

the problem is Only at ultra wide res, if i play at 1080 the game is fine.

The problem is that when running at 5760 the mouse is Very sensitive to the horizontal axis and horrid on the vertical axis.
Aiming is essentially not possible with this bug.

anyone else seeing this kinda thing and perhaps have a solution?
I have been hunting on google and for threads here and keep coming up blank.

i should note i have metro on steam so its up to date, and i just updated bioshock 2 to 1.5, so both games look and function correctly.. except the mouse

The only fix I've found is to use a mouse with separate x and y axis sensitivity controls and to really turn down the x axis sensitivity when playing Metro 2033. I've been using a Logitech G700 and have been pretty pleased with it.

Hmmm.. I know I played both games..but I think I was using an Xbox 360 contoller...I know at least for Bioshock Infinite I was using one.. I dont recall any problems with it...

However in Doom3BFG I saw the same behaviour. The only solution was indeed to cranck down the X sensitivity...

i used to get same issue, so i created custom profiles for my g500 with the logitech software.
I set the x and y axis to different settings to sort it.
Seems like the x axis is three times more sensitive then y axis as the screen is 3 times wider then the engine is set up for

Thanks, thats sort of what i was afraid of.
I have a R.A.T. 7, but to triple on that means i'm running at like 2000, which is a bit low for my taste as my mouse caps out around 6k dpi.

eh, i'm sure with a 6k / 2k setting and the game mouse speed up a bit it would'nt be too bad.

I'll give it a whirl, thanks for the replies.
