Hey, I got my first hack!!!

:D Congrats!

I can't wait to play this... Jeez, how long has it been since I've played a game that took up less that 300MB of HDD?

This worked great on my x1000, but I'm having a bit of trouble on my zd7000.

On the zd, it runs fine at 1280x800 (which the zd scales nicely), but won't run at 1440x900. Can't figure out why.

What's up? Errors, and whatnot? Or just crash to desktop?
I can't get 1400x1050 happy on any screen, the picture expands off the screen. Really annoying...

I can get through the load screen "new game, etc." When I try to load a saved game or scenario, I get the loading bar at the bottom, with a black screen, then it dumps to the desktop with nothing.

Kinda odd, since the game will support 1600x1200 with the 1.7 patch.

Is 1400x1050 a valid widescreen resolution? Isn't that a 4:3 ratio?

1400x1050 is a 4:3, it's the largest 4:3 my 1680x1050 screen supports. But that isn't the point.

Have you tried running it in "compatability mode"? Because I can't think of anything that would cause that, simply by a graphics card change... of course, it could be nVidia's drivers...

I posted some pics on the screenshot section showcasing the differences between fullscreen and widescreen in this game.

Any help appreciated.

I bought this game from gog, well primarily based because of the "gogmix" from wsg saying that it was a simple registry hack to get this to work widescreen.

However, I can't get it to work.

My native res of my laptop is 1600x900 and I've edited that into the registry and the game still plays at what I presume is 1024x768 (definitely not widescreen), and so I've also tried 1280x720 (another res my monitor accepts) and still plays at 1024x768

Any clues what else to do to get DK2 to play in widescreen on my laptop?
