Sleeping Dogs eyefinity issue

Post by Ravensbane »

Hi all, new user so hopefully this is in the right section. Will try and give as much info as possible.

So first off my eyefinity setup is the middle monitor is a Samsung s27a950 27" and the left and right are both Asus ve248H 24" monitors, these are setup in landscape at a res of 5760x1080 and the group is set to 60hz in the Catalyst control center.

Now in Sleeping Dogs for some reason the eyefinity resolutions are only allowing 100hz. So 5760x1080 100Hz for example. This would be fine but only my middle monitor can do over 60hz (120Hz) with the left and right monitors being both 60Hz. So instead of the game only allowing the highest average (lowest maximum?) Hz possible (60Hz) it is trying to show 100hz across the 3 monitors. Still getting the fps hit of it showing across all 3 but nothing is actually showing apart from the main monitor.
Tried to force 60hz via the DisplaySettings.xml in the steam folder (SteamsteamappscommonSleepingDogsData) but that achieved nothing at all.

Ideas, thoughts, help? Any other info required just ask.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah only in Sleeping Dogs.

Yeah only in Sleeping Dogs. Every other game I have tried realises that 2 of the monitors can only do 60hz so the eyefinity resolution, 5760x1080 is a 60hz res.
