Hey Guys,
I am thinking about buying a new graphic card. Actually I'm thinking about the XFX HD6580 because I really like Eyefinity.
I have three Dell 1704@1280x1024. I ran them as single monitors on two cards. I enjoyed to run three maximized applications + with UltraMon its very comfartable (nice for work, but not for gaming).
With Eyefinity I could run them all on one device, but in one group I can't run applications maximized on one screen, right? Is there a way to configure three monitors in the windows-configuration(unlike normal graphics cards which only support two screens)? This means of course I need to change the set-up to game, but I can live with this.
Thanks!
LG Björn

uhm, "Extended Modus" you CAN run up to 6 Monitors (or up to 36 via Adapters...) Via one single AMD GPU! (depending on which^^) its Nvidia that limits 2 Monitors per GPU. (not anymore in the GTX670, 680)
Its just that you CANT use 2x DVI and 1x HDMI! you need at least 1 Displayport connection! (i.e 1x miniDP to DVI active adapter, 1x DVI, 1x HDMI)
Then its normal Modus, and if you want to play Games or Maximize over 3 screens just switch into "Eyefinity" Modus. Works in 5 seconds via Hotkeys.
We gonna send it to outa space!
There is a very simple
There is a very simple solution:
Use WIN key + P to cycle between Eyefinity and 3 single screens.
Duplicate = Eyefinity
Extended = Single Screens
