question about creating multiview with 3 displays but one being of a different brand

Post by alimao »

I think you guys can help me with some questions I have.

I want to set up a surround system (é isso) but I need to know if with nvidia is the same way as with AMD. Will it need to be 3 displays of the same brand? I already have a dell alienware optxmtm aw2310, can I assemble other 2 of the same brand with this one?
Because maybe there will be some issues in design and colors and I dont know if
if it will be cool because the other displays would be led
dont want to buy a dell again because it´s so complicated and I saw some LG models, specifcally these three:

They dont need to be the same

They dont need to be the same brand, but the monitors all need to run the same common resolution, refresh rate AND sync polarity. It can be sometimes possible to create a common EDID file to run them all the same.
but its hit and miss.

My center monitor is a Gateway 22" and the left and right are Westinghouse 22" (hey they were on sale cheap at the times I bought them!), but they all have the same max resolution of 1680x1050 which is why I believe they all work together.

I want to upgrade to 3x27" this year, but don't want to spend a fortune, so perhaps I will have some more odd brands!
