All EA sports games are streched ebcause they have a fixed field of view and a forced 4:3 aspect... sux...

I have modified the exe file so I can use widescreen resolutions, bad luck though, ends of showing some of the stuff off screen (i.e. it doesn't fit the screen right). I don't think it is modable

What resolution are you playing in? And did you use powerstrip to get there? I set my desktop to 1776X1000 and load up madden i see the intro then nothing. I have to navigate with my pc monitor hooked upto a transcoder to be able to change resolutions. All that works is 640X480 and sometimes 1024X768 but its in a small box. Using a geforce ti4400 and a toshiba 40H80. I had 1280X960 working once but i dont know what I did because I can not get it back :/

Specifically, how do you edit the exe files to get widescreen resolutions? I can't find out how to do this, and yet the main "stretched game" list says all ea sports games are capable of being edited. So I say again,

It depends on the game, and the version of the game. Some are easy to find with a hex editor, others are encrypted and a pain to work with. There are plenty of free hex editors and tutorials for editing files on the web, so have a look round and try a game yourself. You'll feel really proud when you do.
But remember to back up any files you think about editing first. So you can start again if something goes wrong. :)

Thanks! :D
tiger woods 2k4?
my pc has a 17" widescreen tft (samsung 172w, 1280x768@60hz) and i have had good luck withy many games, like most rockstar games at getting good widescreen results ....
but i cant make tw2k4 go wide, and when i use 1024x768 in non-stretch mode (where the screen centers with black bars on the sides) and i move my mouse too far left, the games minimizes and show the desktop. frustrating.
sys specs:
xp 3000+ barton/400 (stock 2105mhz)
shuttle nf2 ultra400
2x512 corsair pc3200(cas2.5) dual channel 400mhz
sapphire atlantis radeon 9600 pro (128mb, stock speeds)
running game with cd disabling exe full install.
if anyone has any ideas i would greatly appreciate it .
