MView box for Portrait rotation span?

Post by BHawthorne »

Is it possible to program an MView box like the MV103 HDVE Pro to do portrait rotation spanning? One of the things that would appeal to me is a mix of hardware spanning boxes and Eyefinity to span past 5x1P. Maybe using 3 MView boxes plus Eyefinity 3x1 to do a combination 9x1P for ultra high resolution spanning option? Are there any hardware boxes like the MView or Matrox ones that allow portrait rotation span?

I would be also interested in this. Something like 10800x1920 would be awesome to play unreal tournament.
Though I think my girl friend would be upset on me loosing the 30"rs and multiplying the amount of monitors.

My interest is mostly to show

My interest is mostly to show 1080x1920 portrait rotated projectors for 180 degree span. You can't really achieve 180 degree coverage with just 5x1P. You would be able to with 9x1P though. Yes, that's rather exotic, but if the option was there people would use it for COTS simulator builds. The thing that nags at me most with wall sized projection is pixel size. Rotating 1080p projectors portrait would ensure the highest resolution setup with consumer projectors. Dropping $10k on projectors wouldn't be something I'd do personally, but I could foresee a client wanting a state of the art build and it being plausible.

Hi,
perhaps you can use our MVD204 that support Vertical span. supportting 1920x3240 50Hz input.
you use ATI eyefinity portrail rotation function. perhaps you can get 9x1P display.

our company are setting up 6x6 display wall with our MVd206 and ATI eyefinity6. that need some time to build it.
if we have some news for this setting. I will notice you

Best Regards!
