Multimonitor Setup for HP LP3065

Post by darkshark »

Hi,

i am planning to get 2 Monitors for the sides for my HP LP 3065 (for gaming for example SWTOR) - maybe some 20" (pivot). I got the information that the Dell 2007fp should fit, but this monitor seems a little bit expensive (about 300 euros "used"). Anyone have an idea which other monitors will fit to my HP monitor and are less exspensive?

Besides i have a i7-950, asus engtx580 cu2, 12 gb ram on asus rampage II extreme and planing to buy a simple pci (the asus and my sound card are blocking my 3x pce-e slots) for the thrid monitor for using SoftTH. Should this card is enough (maybe to use it as physix card ?) and did you guys think the gtx580 is ok fpr 3 monitor-gaming? The card maybe something like this: http://www.alternate.de/html/product/ZOTAC/GeForce_GT_520/945632/?

And the next question is if anybody knows if i can use nvidia surround with this setup (i know that i have to use softth - but this will not works for dx 10 / 11 titles :/ ).

Much thanks in advance for your help :)

Here you go:
20" Monitors (Sides):
Dell 2001fp (S-IPS)
Dell 2007fp (S-IPS or S-PVA) [If you get an IPS 30 get and IPS 20 and vice versa as there is a panel lottery with this model]
HP 2035 (IPS)
HP LP2065 (IPS)
Samsung 204B (TN)
Samsung 204T (S-PVA)
Samsung 214T (S-PVA [21.5"]) (Don't Recommend) [A bit too big]

NOTE: The Dell 2007wfp is not the same as the 200fp. The wfp is a widescreen monitor.

nVidia Surround will not work with this. PLP is still limited to SoftTH and Windowed Mode. I don't see that changing in the foreseeable future.
