Hello from Germany and total newbie question

Hi,

I just registered and would like to say hello to everybody!

The reason why I registered: I am totally lost on this topic and need some advice...


Current situation:
Playing on a 15" notebook with an ATI Radeon 19xx card.
Not really up to date. For years not.


Goal:
Buy new notebook. Something with an ATI 6990 is my favourite. But open for suggestion.
Buy three identical screens, 22" or 23" or so.
Close the lid of the laptop, play away happily ever after...

How? What do I need to get? Will a notebook with a Mini Display Port work with three screens? Do I need an adapter?

If the footnotes on the AMD page for the 6990M (the M is important it means its a mobile chip) are anything to go by, then you'll need a laptop that has 3 display outputs, and at least one of them has to be a Display Port. If this is the case then you'll need ether 1 monitor with a display port in it or an active display port adaptor.
The other option is a display port hub.

The Power of a 6990m isn't as bad... little better than a GTX560.

But i think to get Tripple Screen working you'd ned an external Hub. Maybe with Displayport, but i never ever saw a real Displayport Hub! just rumors about that.

Or maybe with a TH2G... but don't realy know much about them...
