non-identical displays problem, same size, resolution etc.

Post by lunde14 »

Hello, i just got myself the GTX 690 (!) and i have ran into a little problem with my displays. They are all Benq 21,5" but Nvidia control panel says i have to change my third display..

The odd screen runs from a DVI->VGI adapter and shows up as VGA in the control panel too.

I was wondering if i could edit the EDID data for the odd screen so it would think it was one of the other screens.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sometimes this issue can be fixed by creating a custom inf file to fool windows into thinking they are all running the same res, refresh rate and sync polarity.

I would get a HDMI to DVI adaptor and plug the odd monitor in via new DVI port
