NTHUSIM @ Blacktop Nationals 2011

I'm gearing up for another projection screen demo event this weekend. It will be local to me in Wichita, KS. This'll be the first one where I'm self-sufficient on the truss for the booth. Tomorrow is a full day of setup at the location. The event is open Friday-Sunday. I've been allotted a 20x20 foot booth area, but will only be using 20x10 of it. I'm excited about owning the truss because I can be self-sufficient for events now instead of being reliant upon AV crew (which is ungodly expensive).



Not made up my mind whether I'll use AMD Eyefinity or NVIDIA Surround on the setup yet. I have machines for both. Also pondering using my Optoma GT720's or my Optoma EX525ST's for projectors. NVIDIA Surround + the GT720's sounds appealing because I can show off 3D Vision Surround. I've not done that for an event yet.

I'm sharing a booth with the Kansas Aviation Museum and Nu-Tek Instruments. Nu-Tek will be providing the simulator for the setup and also will be showing off their new B-52 cockpit simulator they're in the process of building. Should be an interesting weekend.

I'll post more pics and details when I can over the next few days.

In the next day or so I'll post setup, in-use and tare-down pics of the booth. Ug, been working 14 hour days Thursday-Sunday working the setup made today (Monday) a rest day to have my body catch up again. It was a looong, but fun weekend.
