Warhammer 40k: Space Marine

Post by skipclarke »

There's a demo up on Steam. Who wants to give it a whirl and post a DR?

I've had a go, the game engine works up to multi-monitor resolutions fine enough but the cutscenes and menus are vert- and the hud is stretched pretty badly. It's been raised on their forum though, so hopefully might get looked at for release.

As well as the spacemarine.com forum thread you've linked in the DR there's a second one here (that I've hijacked slightly!) which has had a THQ rep answer in it:

I checked it on my system and I see what you are talking about. The issue is being forwarded along to the developers to see if they have a fix.

Bah that's a disappointment. I've posted a moan in a thread I linked previously (plus a new one that's cropped up about the crosshair being distorted at non-16x9 resolutions) to see if the THQSpaceMarineSupport user that replied previously has anything to say.

IMO, the FOV in the cutscenes are UTTERLY unplayable. You can't see anything, its SOO zoomed in.

Considering this game is AMD certified, its disappointing and surprising to see that Eyefinity hasn't been officially supported.

Has anyone had a chance to check out Space Marine yet? It seems like a small, yet easily fixable issue effecting only the HUD and cut-scenes.
