How can a custom resolution be set?

Of the PC game "Hogs of War". Things like "seta r_customwidth 1280" or "seta r_customheight 1024", you know... ;)

But neither "seta r_customwidth 1280" nor "seta r_customheight 1024" work, so I won't get my custom resolution of 1280x1024 pixels until the PC game "Hogs of War" is on the "Master Game List" with a detailed solution on how to set a custom resolution. :)
