Access Denied to newer threads

Post by Sservis »

I went to browse a couple pages this morning by reloading threads in tabs that I'd opened last night and they came up as Access Denied. When I reloaded the forum indexes there appear to be a lot of threads missing from my view. AMD Eyefinity Discussions only has 2 threads visible to me when I know it has much more content.

When I search for new posts, I only see one post with a date after 7/9/11, AussieTimmeh's post at http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/forums/gaming/detailed-widescreen-reports/15507/new-dr-form-adding-and-editing-games-must-read

Not sure what's going on

edit: I can see this post too

edit: Threads appear to be coming back, looks like I might have been reading the forums during a rebuild of some sort. saw it drop to where there were just 2 posts in the whole forums, this and AussieTimmeh's during a couple reloads. Probably not an issue assuming it's all on it's way back (looks like the post counts are increasing after bouncing around for a while). I can also see the "new site issues" thread again now.

Permission Rebuild

Post by skipclarke »

It just told me I needed to rebuild the site permissions, and I did. It took a few minutes to do and just finished. Probably related.

Thanks for the fix. I went to a thread I made and it said access denied and basically was like "lolwat?"

In the same vein, I cannot add Detailed Reports (Access Denied message), nor can I access Silent Hill 3's DR when logged in.

We do require three posts to validate someone isn't a spammer, before we let them have access to areas of the site beyond the forum. This would be things like the gallery and the DR entries.

However, you should be able to view the DR. That is a permissions issue that needs to be fixed.

Unfortunately it still does not work. I have view access to the SH3 page when logged out, but not when I am logged in.

EDIT: Accessing SH3 works now.
