crysis 2 v.1.8 catalyst 11.6 driver: issue
anyone notice that on the extreme setting ( or otherwise), you get the particle generator mesh showing up as a shaded transparent black zone? I can't tell if it's the 1.8 patch or the 11.6 release of the drivers.. hopefully with the 1.9 and DX11 patch out tomorrow I can find out if it's actually the drivers or the 1.8 patch.. this didn't happen with the 1.1 to 1.4 patch , but I was also running the 11.4/5 catalyst's

ok found a hotfix for 11.6 http://news.softpedia.com/news/Download-AMD-Catalyst-11-6-Graphics-Driver-Hotfix-206592.shtml.
still there but it's much less apparent now. still has the visual effect of creating heat shimmer if not the graphical effect of darkening the area.. and for some reason with the 1.8 patch Crytek saw fit to reduce wall collision? I can now look through the walls and step 1/2 way through them.. very poor Q&A testing on there part. Guess they should have used the unreal 3 engine. HA!
