Problem with ATI driver 11.6 Display Port Screen flickering
Problem with ATI driver 11.6 Display Port Screen flickering
I just had to do a re-install of windows 7 64 bit Ultimate after having some corrupted files that I couldn't fix. I have been using the 10.3 drivers for over a year with no problems, except that some newer games I have installed have given me pop ups on install about my drivers being out of date. I decided to give the newest drivers (11.6) a go, and they are stable for a long time after I boot up. After several hours, though, the monitor with the Accell active display port to DVI adapter will flicker and then go off completely. I can live with it for the updated version, since it seems that simply unplugging the Accell usb (powered separately by a wall usb power adapter) and plugging it right back in corrects it for a good long while. My question to the community is, is there an ATI driver 11.x version that seems to work as well as the old 10.3? I have never attempted a GPU bios flash as I have no wish to brick my cards. Have two Radeon 5800 cards in crossfire, and have already turned Overdrive off in CCC. I would love to use a much newer driver, and I would REALLY appreciate any feedback anyone has on a way to correct this issue.

Ever since after 10.3, if I activate the overdrive in the CCC my DP monitor flickers... haven't found a way around so far.
