Seems it won't support triple-wide, same as the first game.
Not sure if this being in the game's readme file as a video issue is an indication that they'd like to change that in the future.
From the game's readme
---------------------------------------------------------------------
2.2 VIDEO ISSUES
---------------------------------------------------------------------
A. Latest video drivers required. Steam provides a link for
updating video drivers in their menus if needed.
B. Mid-range NVIDIA® GeForce® 9xxx cards, such as the NVIDIA®
GeForce® 9400 GT may experience low framerate during gameplay.
NVIDIA® GeForce® 88XX or 98XX 320 MB graphics cards or higher
are recommended.
C. Some Mid-range ATI Radeon™ cards with 80 shader processors
such as the ATI Radeon™ HD 4350 & 5450 may experience low
framerate during gameplay.
D. If visual effects are seen displaying through walls with
use of an NVIDIA® GeForce® graphics card, update video
drivers to resolve the issue.
E. If screen tearing is occurring, turn on v-sync in the
video options menu.
F. Eyefinity is not supported.
Downloading on steam now, will report back when I can actually get in the game.
Well, I haven't bothered messing with the config files to see if it can run triple-wide (if it can, I'm sure the HUD will be stretched like in the first game)
But it's mad fun so far. It's totally linear unlike guerilla, but so far that's not really bothering me too much, there's still lots of stuff to wreck.
it's a much better port this time around too, since they did it in house instead of outsourcing the job. They have good, non laggy mouse-controls, and a good amount of key-bindings and video options like a proper PC game... save the triple wide support :P
I seem to see some HUD deforming depending on the aspect, so Even if it were possible to set a triple-wide res, (I couldn't find any config files for this game anywhere) the HUD would be all over the place.
yes it will run windowed, but you cant choose any resolultions other than from 4:3, 16:9, 16:10 aspects. not sure where this games stores its config files (seems like there are none under my user docs).
also MY complaint is that this game last too narrow FOV (looks likes its around 50 to 60), something like 80 to 90 would suit better for all the explosions going on.
Yeah, can't select the resolution in-game, it lists them by aspect ratio, and you can only pick the 3 standard ones. so no 48:9 option :)
The Last Red Faction game had config files you could dig into and change the resolution to anything you needed, but I was unable to locate openable config files this time.
Haven't tried yet running windowed and expanding to fill my desktop...
Only thing is, the options shows a res of 640x480.
If I change only one setting, I bet the game will change to that and I will never be able to reverse the change.
(but its gotta be somewhere in the registry - hex decimals)

only played it a few minutes so far. I have to do other things at the moment. But it looked ok to me. Also took a video of it but uploading will take forever lol ^^
Ok...I'm doing my laundry now. :P
