Mass Effect.

Post by tet5uo »

Sorry if it's been discussed, couldn't find it with my weak search-fu.

Is there any way to play this game in Triple-Wide? I've recently picked it up at the urging of my brother but haven't found a way to play it triple-wide.

Seems fun enough, so I'm sure I can enjoy it on one screen just fine, but thought I'd ask in case I missed the obvious.

In the nav-bar on the top of the page, hover over "Games, Hacks & Tools" and click on "Master Games List." Here you can find links to the detailed report, along with any solutions needed to get the game working.

As far as I know a solution was never found. People have tried feverishly to find the memory addresses, but no progress was made. There is a FOV command in the console, but it doesn't fix the HUD problems.

Well, maybe I'll just play it console-style on my HTPC. I have that system set up for my game-pad friendly games when I want to have a nice veg-on-the-couch session.

Really? Excellent. i loved mass effect but stopped playing it as it due to the lack of a eyefinity/surround fix.

Yeah, that's sweet! I'll just hold off on playing it for now, then. I have a big enough steam library of games that I still need to play anyways :)

Also extremely interested in this.. was very disappointed to see the lack of Eyefinity/Surround support for Mass Effect 1/2. Already played through both once, but would gladly play through again in surround!

Would be kind of fun to play ME1+ME2 in surround I think.

Small teaser...

Can the HUD be centered entirely (eg. one screen)? Yes.. in theory.

Does this translate to ME2 too? Yes it does - lucky they are both based on very similar codebase.

Hmm for some reason I was assuming me1 was already supporting eyefinity and the main problem was with me2

Are you just working on HUD, or cutscenes and non-rendered stuff at high FoV aswell ?

Absolutely massive work!!! Do you think after the you fix this problem for ME1 that you will also add it for ME2? That would be uber sweet!!!

Will the fix be avalaible for retail copies or only steam?

I have only single monitor but a FoV fix for Mass Effect would be great, I would buy it on steam but better if the fix works in retail, indeed.
