Homefront?

Post by Mach1.9pants »

Has anyone tried the new FPS by the makers of Frontlines? I enjoyed FFoW and the MP part of the game (what I will be buying it for) seems to be getting good reviews, even if the SP isn't. I see that DopeFish has it, as do a couple of my mates. I am awaiting MP reports from them, in the mean time can anyone confirm whether this works in Multi-mon?

Or should I just go back to rank 50ing my BFBC2 alt and XBox accounts? :)

Cheers, M1.9P

Cheers Thales, my search-fu is weak ;)

Cool, I wonder if DopeFish or another such genius would be able to sort the HUD, normally prety important when playing multi-player...

There's a sick_fov value in there, try editing it (I haven't).

@Mach: somehow MP framerates suck compared to SP, so you'd prolly better wait for a patch. And grab the latest beta drivers for the HF SLI profile. As an old FOW trooper you should like the game, though. :)

Cheers, one of my GTXs is being replaced, the VRAM died, so I can't really comment on MM yet. Still it is good enough fun in single, pity sniper rifles are so OP and so many people just camp about the edges doing nothing. As normal for snipers, which is fine in CoD but not the idea in Battlefield etc.

yeah in the config file you have to change your resolution manually and also calculate and change the screen aspect ratio and enter that as well.

Just change values and it works perfectly.

Yeah, for some reason i can't get it to work on multi monitors. My drivers are the newest for the nvidia gtx 480 and my Matrox TH2G is running at a 4320 x 900. I haven't tried other resolutions yet but I would like some input if you guys have any. Thanks

Well the Patch fixed the performance issues I was having in MP. locked to 120 FPS now when I was getting 30-40 pre-patch. Nice fix :)

The ini file amendment works for me great at 5760x1200 but only with full screen disabled - if enable full screen it just stretches the 1920x1200 image Across the three screens!

Anyone got any ideas on this? Cheers :)

Are you sure it stretches the whole 3D world (not just your character's hands/weapons) ? What is your GPU + driver version ?
To fix stretched weapons, make sure 1920x1200 fullscreen works ok, then exit the game and edit ResX again. Happened to me sometimes after playing solo & MP successively.

Hi im on a pair of GTX580s using the 267.60 drivers - ini set to:

ResX=5760
ResY=1200
ScreenAspectRatio=4.8

1920x1200 works and looks fine:

5760x1200 is fine "windowed" (5760x1187):

But 5760x1200 "Full Screen" stretches the whole world:

Ive tried setting to 1920x1200, exiting re amendeding the ini then back in - everything is stretched - the only way I can get it to sit right is un-checking "Full Screen"

"Windowed" basically just shows a "line" along the top of the screens - its just annoying more than anything else.

Any ideas or suggestions would be hugely welcomed

Cheers

I think you need to put a check mark next to " enable DX11" in options because when I uncheck this box it goes all streachy like this.

Also if I play this game in windowed mode, I dont get crossfire support :(
