BFBC 2 Triple Monitor Crashing
I have an issue where BFBC2 crashed me to my desktop.
I have 2 gtx 460s and i7 970 4 gbs of ram. I think it is too little ram but am new to the whole three monitors thing anyone have any ideas.

Re: BFBC 2 Triple Monitor Crashing
I have only 4GB of RAM that should not be the issue. Its probably driver or SLI related issues.
It used to crash a ton for AMD users until newer drivers fixed things up.

There is another thread on this on this same website. Search it up. Its a problem with the game itself and DICE knows about it and is going to release a patch to fix it. I can hardly play the damn game it crashes so much. Vietnam, however, runs like a dream.

I've had the occasional CTD too. My page file was set to a max of 4gb, so I bumped it up to 8gb. Also I close a few things when playing like Firefox, to free up more memory. Much fewer CTD's now (perhaps none since).

hmm. you think the pagefile has something to do with it? ill try increasing mine and see what happens.

I tried increasing the pagefile. Its definitely not the problem. Still crashes like a mother !@#$

Re: BFBC 2 Triple Monitor Crashing
BC2 also crashes my system quite frequently, although randomly. Sometimes I can play for 5minutes, other times almost an hour.
As slinky says though, Vietnam seems to run perfectly. I got through 2 hours the other night without a hiccup :?

This is exactly the same experience im getting. I can play BC2 for an hour at times and then at other times it will crash within 2 minutes. Ive had vietnam for about a week and i have had 1 crash. I like vietnam but I wanna be able to play BC2 as well
Re: BFBC 2 Triple Monitor Crashing
No crashes since bumping my pagefile up to 8gb. Played about 4 hours today without a hitch.
The other thing to check is tab out after playing for half an hour and check your GPU and CPU temps.

Re: BFBC 2 Triple Monitor Crashing
I have found my issue to be RAM. I had a faulty stick with a good stick. I had 4GBs in Temp when i took one of them out i ran it all high on three monitors with 2gb in and no problems
Re: BFBC 2 Triple Monitor Crashing
If only that was the case... but at least on your end, you've found a solution, somewhat. Next step now is to find a replacement RAM and rerun it.
Re: BFBC 2 Triple Monitor Crashing
ram is definitely not the issue on my end. Im glad it worked for you though.
Re: BFBC 2 Triple Monitor Crashing
Try Disabling on board sound ( if you have a sound card) the realtek on board sound and BFBC2 don't play nice with one another. I still CTD on my system but a lot less often now that I turned off my on board sound in my bios. Other people say to turn down the sound quality in game but I'm not willing to do that myself Good luck.
