I've run two monitors for some time, a 24" 16:10 Acer, and an old 17" 4:3 Samsung, just to have the main to game on and other for videos, web browsing, etc... But I finally decided to take the jump into a 3 monitor, eyefinity setup. Since I'm not a fan of dual GPU setups (a bad experience with a 9800GX2 some time ago), nVidia was out of the question. I was originally looking at a "budget" setup, grabbing a used 6970, and 3x $200 24" 16:9 monitors. But after much contemplation, I just decided to go all out. A 7970, and 3x Dell U2412Ms.
Got the card in a week ago, and the monitors last Friday, and man, I couldn't be happier. The eIPS monitors are such a nice change coming from a run of the mill TN panel, and man, gaming at that resolution, is amazing.
I'm sure I'll be around a bit, since I'm still pretty new to wide screen gaming :)
Just took the plunge into widescreen gaming :)
