Rise of Nations Windows7 widescreen

I'm creating a new post since the current RISE OF NATIONS thread will not let me add to it.

I cannot get RISE OF NATIONS to work in widescreen mode. Anyone with suggestions, would certainly help.

I am running Windows7.
I have RON, but not the expansion.
I have searched for both rise.ini and rise2.ini file, prior to patching, as well as after patching. Prior to saving a game, as well as after saving a game. Neither .ini file anywhere to be found.

I got this to work on Vista a few years back, but now that I'm on Win7, no luck.

So sad, I am. :(

You couldn't reply because you were in the Confirmed Solutions area. Here is the place to discuss stuff ;)

First tell Win7 to display hidden folders:
Control Panel>Folder Options>Display tab>Advanced Settings: Hidden files and folders, Show

Then look for the files in:
C:UsersAppData
C:ProgramData

SCORE! Thank you, that did it! I was right clicking specific folders to try and show hidden and was stumped.
