3 monitors and a tv
Re: 3 monitors and a tv
i dont see why not, as long as they're all the same resolution/orientation for eyefinity/surround
Re: 3 monitors and a tv
i thought that the HDMI port on the graphics card shared a TDMS signal with one of the DVI ports, thats the reason you _can't_ run DVI+DVI+HDMI.
If thats the case you _cant_ run the 3 computer monitors + TV at the _same time_.
But you could watch TV + use 2 of the 3 monitors.
someone please correct me if i am wrong.

Right on the money...that`s my results.
Would you have to go with a 2nd card?
Re: 3 monitors and a tv
I was wondering the same thing. I just dont understand the reasing behind having an HDMI if you can use it in Eyfinity. I am running Eyefinity on DVI,DVI, DP. What good is the HDMI if i cant hook it up to the TV and run at the same time.
Re: 3 monitors and a tv
You can 'hook' the TV to the HDMI, but it will not work at the same time as two other devices connected to the DVI.
I believe you can enable profiles so that you can have your Eyefinity when you want to triple head game, and another profile when you want to game on the TV.
Otherwise the previous posters are correct you will need a 2nd ATI card to allow a 4th concurrent connection or a 5870 eyefinity edition card and adaptors to HDMI

Re: 3 monitors and a tv
Inexpensive PCI video cards with a TV-out are easy enough to find. I was looking a while ago and found a 256mb ATI for about fifty bucks, and and had HDMI. You should be able to mix ATI and Nvidia without a problem, too.
