Edge Distortion questions

Post by aznrichboy23 »

For some reason, the two right and left screens are extremely zoomed in compared to the center screen. My resolution is 5280 x 1050 with a FOV of 80. I have tried changing my field of view from 70 through 120 and it has not done anything. I also experimented with different resolutions, but nothing worked. Any ideas?

To see the problem, you can visit both or either youtube videos.

This is normal for a surround setup.

Take a look at this thread .. http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=8418

would higher FOV fix the problem? It may be too low. Try like 144, or use the FOV calculator.

Otherwise I guess it's that way intentionally.

Objects in Eyefinity are not as close as they appear?

Post by McSquid »

I don't know if anyone else has noticed anything of this sort since i haven't been able to find any information on it

When playing a game in Eyefinity objects, people, and scenery appear MUCH closer to screen on the side panels than if you pan to look at them. example: you run up to a guard in a game of some kind and in your center monitor he looks to be about 10 feet away, now you spin your camera so that he appears on your left monitor and he looks close enough to kiss you? is there anything that can be tweaked to compensate for this? ill post some pics:

this is from assassins creed. it was the easiest example i could pull up. note the distance of lucy from the camera. about 3 feet right? then the next photo just turning the camera to look more at warren puts her only inches away.

Its not a dealbreaker but i annoys me sometimes. would any kind of setting help with this kind of issue?

I've merged your topic into this one and changed the title. Have a look at my first post in this thread for some info.
