Kane & Lynch Dog Days - lobbying for surround support

Post by thales100 »

Just tried the Demo of this game, no multi monitor support, its unplayable, looking completely stretched, btw i tried to force a 48:10 aspect ratio, and menus become cut, plus the 3D part is still stretched, differently from K&L Dead Men - http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=15983 .
I posted at eidos forum requesting proper surround support, please post there too to support my request if possible.

hm, when the player drops to the floor the FOV goes really wild. At least it does here.
Sometimes surfaces dissapear.

Used X 1,054 and Y 0,176 for some zoom-out. I don't know how much zoomed out it is on single monitor though.

3 x 22"
3x 1680x1050 : 5232x1050

And what does Clip Aspect do anyway?

I have a feeling that the camera effects get too huge in eyefinity mode. I haven't played in single monitor yet but...hell those pixel/glow effects are way too large.

oh btw I had to download the msstdfmt.dll first. And used the command regsvr32 to add it to the system.

I tried doing this but it failed. Anyone else have trouble installing this dll?

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could upload a copy of their msstdfmt.dll file from the system32 folder. Preferably someone with 64 bit windows 7

Downloading & registering the dll didn't help, but I found another solution.
There's a small utility called Simple Shutdown Timer that will install the file. Download the Setup version (not Zip), install and you're all set. The hack should now run no problem ;)

I know this looks a lot like spam  but this is the best solution I found to this stupid problem. Kane & Lynch 2 / NFSUG2 hacks required this, and I suppose all future Racer_S tools will.
