OK, here's the deal-
I have a Asus 5970 card 2GB , and three LG2486 monitors with the following outputs:
DVI, HDMI and VGA.
I want to connect and set all three monitors to a single display for gaming.
Can anyone tell me:
What monitor outputs can/should I use and
What adapters do I need, specifically do I need an (active?) mini-Display Port to VGA adapter OR an (active?) mini-Display Port to DVI adapter?
I've read these and other forums for the last 4 hours and the room is starting to spin.
Thanks in advance

Mini-Display Port to VGA adapter is not active.
Mini-Display Port to DVI adapter is active.
I believe you can use either. Mini-Display Port to VGA adapter will not give you the blinking DP display issue (apparently) YET the display quality may be degraded as it's an analog signal. Cost ~$30.
Mini-Display Port to DVI adapter gives a digital output. Cost ~$100.
IMO, go for the active Mini-Display Port to DVI adapter.
