All I have to say is D~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~MN.

That's pretty sweet, now if they could only keep the thing cool.

Hmmm yea looks like 3 DVI clocks on one card something I thought could not be done. Hopefully that is what it is, why would you clone a DVI on a card like that haha. Maybe possible because of dual GPU I don't know but it is still on one PCB. I don't know how all that works but from what people were saying about ATI cards is that it was impossible to have 3 DVI ports so they had to use DP.

Its quite possible. :)

The dual GPU card should have clocks enough to drive up to 4 screens actually (2 clock generators per GPU). The ATI cards only have 2 clock generators per GPU, but they also added a lot of display pipelines and can use several screens on a single GPU by using DP instead.

Nvidia also supports GTX295 as a single card solution according to their homepage.

I don't understand what you mean, You said ATI cards only have 2 clocks per GPU, so they could have actually done this with a 5970 instead of using a DP. I thought that could not be done. I see the point with Eyefinity 6 cards using all DP but not on the 5970.

Yes, they could have done this with 5970. Why they didn't, I don't know, but its not because of lack of clocks to drive 3 DVI's at least. If to speculate, it might have something to do with the inhertied issues of running 3X screens while syncing it over 2 GPU's and therefore, they chose to use a single GPU for displays instead.

With issues, you can find some here (bottom half):
http://www.anandtech.com/show/2937/10

There is also matters of power and heat in 2D mode, since there are issues with cards having high power usage on second card in 3X setup with Nvidia. Ati might have looked to avoid this by running all 3 screens off one GPU.

WooHoo!! 3 DVI...

Hmmm... Dual GTX470? (and so far apart) guess they are afraid that it will fry the PCB otherwise?

Dual GTX480 is probably not possible, card would be half a meter long :nudgenudge

This card won't be seen soon according to Kyle unfortunately:

Dual GPU GTX 470 Cards
You guys have seen Galaxy's dual 470 card and gotten excited about it, but I wanted to let you know not to expect it anytime soon.

It was DEMO ONLY card with no production in current consideration. In fact, NVIDIA is actually blocking the card from being made as it is not supplying all the software code for the chipsets to communicate between each other on a single board.

Probably to market themselves and demonstrate that they can do this. Computex is a place to show off. They should do this though. I believe that this will be a good option for many who wants surround, but doesn't want to get a new MB or dual cards. Requirements for MB and PSU is probably lower, so it might give a less costly option to go Nvidia surround.
