Displayport connection killing PC. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi All,

This is my first post on here. I'm told you guys are the experts so I hope you can help me out!

I have just splashed out on a new PC from Chillblast.com. I specified a Radeon 6970 as I have three 21.5" Dell U2211 Monitors. The problem is, if I have a mini-displayport -> Displayport cable plugged in for the third screen, the PC will not power up. The LED flashes for a second when I turn it on, but then goes off and it won't power on at all. I have to power everything off for 30 seconds before it will come back on (if I remove the displayport cable).

I have now tried two different cables and two different Radeon graphics cards, but every time, it won't power on. Now if I connect the displayport cable once it's on, everything works fine, but due to where the PC is, I can't keep going round the back to disconnect it all the time. How can I fix this? It's driving me potty.
