At the end of March, Vigil Games announced that they were going to release Darksiders on PC. The release will be in June. Here is the announcement from their site.

There are some of you who have been holding out on Darksiders because you want it on PC. Well, it's official. Darksiders is coming to PC in June, and it'll be just as awesome as it is on consoles. Take it from General Manager of Vigil, David Adams, "We are really excited to have the opportunity to bring Darksiders to the global PC audience. We feel that the growth of digital distribution and PC online communities creates a great environment for our game. We are working really hard to make sure that key features such as user-defined resolutions, interface and both keyboard and game pad control sets are all up to the standards for today’s discerning PC consumer."

The part in red caught my eye. I posted this question on their Facebook and Twitter:

@darksiders Will the "user-defined resolutions" in the PC release include #Eyefinity with proper Horizontal FOV? http://bit.ly/ba7f0J

Update: I have also made this post on their forum (link):

Hello,
In the announcement of the PC version, David Adams was quoted as such:

"We are really excited to have the opportunity to bring Darksiders to the global PC audience. We feel that the growth of digital distribution and PC online communities creates a great environment for our game. We are working really hard to make sure that key features such as user-defined resolutions, interface and both keyboard and game pad control sets are all up to the standards for today’s discerning PC consumer."

In the above quote, does "user-defined resolutions" include Eyefinity and other multi-monitor options? If so, will the game scale will a proper horizontally increasing FOV?

Haha, crap. I know the girl that was producing this game. I might have been able to talk to with her. Oh well, she's working with a different company now but I've already asked her to tell her devs to support ultrawide aspect ratios on PCs. Hopefully she'll do it. :P

Thanks for the help. Any chance you can get her to contact me? Would love to talk with her about the work she's doing at her new company.

I'll ask her when I get the chance and get you guys in contact if she's not too busy. I hear crunch time is a bitch and Vigil was on crunch for a longass time.

My password initially hit my spam filter on the WSGF. It's a big HTML email. When I asked to have my password sent, it said there was no account. But, if I tried to register, it said there was already an account. :doh

I signed up on my .mac account, and got it. Had to pick a new name, though.
