Frontline:FOW error.

Post by Kill-4-Cash »

I just switch from a Nvidia GTX 260 to a HD5870.. Now I want to run this game and run it on max with my new card but I get a error when i try and run it. I did a forum search and nothing showed up. A few google searches and nothing.

This is the error
ERROR! Unable to init AGEIA PhysX (TM)! Please make sure you have AGEIA PhysX (TM) System Software installed.

Hope someone can help..

Thanks.

You need to turn "hardware physics" or PhysX off. That a nVidia Proprietary thing.

There's no hardware PhysX in FFOW... but the game needs standalone PhysX libraries. You probably uninstalled PhysX along with all Nvidia stuff before the card switch...

Check the install disc/files, there must be an Ageia redist package somewhere. Run it to reinstall PhysX and the game should run. If you can't find the package, you can download the latest version here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_9.09.1112.html
