most Ubisoft titles do support multi monitor resolutions from my experience, be it with a patch down the line i.e: Future Solider or out of the box i.e: Far Cry 3

i only found one source that said it would come with nvidia surround capability out of the box

http://mygaming.co.za/news/hardware/56157-nvidia-shuns-sa-on-splinter-cell-blacklist-bundle.html

i hope it supports multi monitor

Hmm that's strange but the game settings does not allow me for bezel free resolutions.
4800 * 900 or 5760*1080 are available only with lowers one screen resolutions.

Any others have this problem ?

I have a 16:10 (1900x1200) monitor, and I am in the same boat. Ubisoft is not known for their support of other Aspect Ratios. Assassin's Creed 3 is the same, and I heard Ghost Recon: Future Soldier also.

Basically, you can select 1920x1200 and "Default 16:10" respectively in the Splinter Cell: Blacklist options screen, but it doesn't change from 1920x1080, and it puts up a letterbox. Would appreciate some kind of fix for it, but I think this is stuck as-is.. which is really disappointing. Sharp looking game.

I thought I saw aspect ratio settings in the game - could be a different game though - I'd imagine it wouldn't be too hard to fix by way of an ini edit.

There are, but as I said even if you choose 16:10 in the options screen, it stills stays at 1080 with 16:9.

I run 3x 1920x1200 wit bezel compensation, ad the game appears to do everythign cirrectkly to me. AR is correct, HUD is centred, pre-rendered movies look fine. I see no isssues whatsoever. Very pleases. It also runs pretty well. The game ran my 6032x1200 upon first launch (version 1.01), though oddly, my graphcis optiosn say the Aspect Ratio selected is 4:3...

I guess I can slap a screen shot up once i get to my desktop.\

THe game itself... still far away from teh tough awesomeness of the first three games, what with the stupid enemies, easy combat, and that auto-execute bullshit.

Been trying to play this as well, if you go into Customize Gear with Eyefinity then you don't see the gear preview. Other than that, eyefinity seems OK.

Unfortunately the game for me is crashing in just a few seconds with high graphics on. I tried turning off eyefinity, it gets better, runs for like 5 mins without crashing. On low detail it seems to run for longer (in particular it seems to be the texture settings), but I don't like my game to look pixellated.

Looks like this will have to wait a few months for the patches/drivers to catch up...

-------
Oh, and Abrams, if you look at perfectionist difficulty there is no auto-execute. If the game's too easy, dial up the difficulty setting.

Yes, I noticed that upon second launch. I've only played it in EF so I didn't even know it had a weapon preview.

Ahem.. Argh! It's A-b-r-a-m! lol sorry bu ti've been spending the last few months drilling this fact in my the head of my clan members. It's my real name, and the one i use for my multiplayer game tags. THey think I'm Abraham, or a god damned tank.

no special steps eh?

Im running 5760x1200, amd crossfire with 13.8 beta drivers.
seconds after the first cinematic the game will crash (with the two guys in the crashed helicopter).
I played with videoSettings.ini in E:\My Documents\Ubisoft\Blacklist\
I set EyefinityMode=2 to 1, and 3. No real change. still crashing.

any ideas?

It's not an eyefinity thing, it's just the game is extremely unstable in general (even at 1080p). If you really want to play, set all your quality to lowest, it makes it a lot more stable. I've had buddies tell me they were also able to play it on older PCs more successfully.

Hi guys,

I got this game this past Friday and was surprised to find that it was able to play in my Eyefinity BC resolution of 6048x1200 without much tweaking. I recall I set it up in Borderless with the Aspect Ratio 48:10 in the video settings. I played it throughout the weekend both Campaign, Coop, and SvM (I think in SvM it's fixed to one screen 16:10, I only played 3-4 matches).

Anyways, I just started trying playing tonight and now I cannot for the life of me figure out why it's not supporting all three of my screens anymore. I start the game and either it's all stretched out using Fullscreen mode which I cannot select anything other than 4:3 aspect ratio and only the middle screen I can see the game with the left and right both blank. Or I try borderless mode and it will fill up the three screens but stretch the horizontal 1920 across all three so I end up with a smushed image.

I tried messing around with the videoSettings.ini in My Documents\Ubisoft\Blacklist and can see there are lines for Monitor Aspect Ratios, Eyefinity, and so on. I tried to manually set the resolutions and Aspect ratios (6048x1200 = 5.0400) but the game when I go to launch it will reset it back to "-1.000".

I've gone at this for 45 minutes now and am gonna give up. I didn't change anything on my computer either drivers wise or whatever. One thing though was when I started my PC earlier in the day I had to reset my Eyefinity settings because occasionally my screens won't return from turning off after inactivity for 5 minutes so I have to power them off and when I turn it back on I end up with all my screens being duplicated 1920x1200 desktops so I have to extend them again to 5760x1200 and then recreate the Eyefinity group and bezel compensation. It happens about once a month it seems at random and never did anything bad to Blacklist like the other games I played.

Anyone come across this?

Thanks in advance.

SoF

I found the game unplayable at 6048x1080p with my 7970, is it only me or is the game very heavy? I know it runs on the unreal engine 2.5 and it is kinda old, but 15 fps is really unplayable :( Can anyone confirm any settings that make it playable?

thanks

I run this game at 6048x1200 on a 7970 3GB and it runs perfectly using a mix of High/Ultra settings. Using a i7 3770, 16 GB RAM, SSD RAID, and Windows 8.

However as I posted above I'm stuck playing it at 1920x1200 and eyefinity just stopped working like it did before. Doesn't seem any faster at this resolution.

I play at same resolution with a 7950 overclocked 1050/1550
All max except :
- vsync : off
- Tesselation : off
- Shadows : medium.
- AA off
- occlusion : FIELD AO

Many settings are lowered but it's still beautiful and it never drops below 38 fps which is rarely visible.

Seems todays patch fixed the eyefinity and crossfire issues i was having. hasnt crashed yet.

However started up my first coop mission. The outside screens are black, only middle screen has the game, is this by design?

Yeah I just came here to say I saw there was a 1.7GB Patch and started the game. Eyefinity is back to the way it was before. Got home too late to play some more but I look forward to more.

They still haven't fixed the TXAA issue - but I'm not sure if it's on Nvidia or Ubisoft to fix.

Can someone please post a copy of the videoSettings.ini in My Documents\Ubisoft\Blacklist

I have a Matrox TripleHead2Go and SC:B is not detecting it as a multimonitor option. I get one display but the other two remain blank. I'm hoping some one else's the videoSettings.ini will help me trouble shoot. Thanks!

What the?

I thought the Eyefinity thing was fixed in my last post because the game starts up fine in the Paladin. But when I go to start a mission immediately the left and right screens are blacked out which I assumed at first was for the options/SMI stuff. But when the game loads it's still blacked out.

Took a screenshot from in a mission:
http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/580 ... 3E65611A9/

Is Ubisoft banning the use of three screens in solo missions now?

I have the same issue, it was working fine until after I did the first story mission. Now if I load any of the missions on the map the two side screens are blacked out. I was playing around with the settings and when I changed from Fullscreen to Borderless I even saw a flash of everything being rendered behind the veil of black. I've installed 1.01 and 1.02 updates and it did nothing. I'm afraid I won't be able to play until there is a solution, I wonder if Ubisoft will even address it?

that really sucks, I just hope for AMD users it doesnt turn into a Witcher 2 situation again where multi monitor was curiously disabled for AMD cards when the enhanced edition was released but Nvidia cards still work fine.

Does anyone with an Nvidia surround setup have these issues as well? I don't have the game yet so I wouldn't be able to tell you if its wide spread or not.

Probably best thing to do is maybe contact ubisoft technical support or post on their forums and hopefully this issue gets resolved

I've got an Nvidia surround setup, and I'm having the EXACT same issue as Sailor of Fortune. Left and right monitors work in Paladin, but they black out as soon as I start a mission briefing (before mission even loads). Once I come back from a mission, they work in Paladin again. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I think I started having this issue after I alt-tabbed out of Splinter Cell once. Prior to that, I was enjoying triple-wide glory right out of the box...

I'm beginning to notice that missions launched directly from the SMI will black out the side monitors. If you talk to the NPC directly, it keeps things in full view on all screens and loads the headshot of Sam thinking with the option to continue the mission or not. When you hit start mission from there it'll load into Eyefinity just fine. I tried this twice.

It never occurred to me to try that, I can confirm that speaking to them directly does indeed fix the issue, Nvidia user here. Thanks for the tip.

I thought I had Splinter Cell Blacklist pegged.
Watching last year's Splinter Cell Blacklist E3 demo, I saw a new-look Sam Fisher who appeared far more agile and bloodthirsty than ever before. Dashing up buildings, planting knives in people's throats without hesitation - it was as though Ubisoft had dropped Sam Fisher into an Assassin's Creed game and forgot to change the title.
OK, so maybe I was wrong.
Having spent a couple of hours playing Splinter Cell Blacklist at a Ubisoft event last week, it's clear that last year's Splinter Cell Blacklist E3 demo might not have painted the most accurate picture of what this Splinter Cell reboot is all about. Blacklist is a much broader game, one that draws influences from Assassin's Creed and doesn't stop there. At various points during the demo, I was reminded of Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid, and - bear with me here - XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
The E3 Splinter Cell Blacklist demo in question.

Just a bump to see if anyone has had anymore luck with this title. Triple monitor worked so well in Splinter Cell: Conviction i can't believe it's totally nerfed in Blacklist. :wtf:

i had the same issue with the game crashing. it was so bad i couldnt even complete the first mission. upon google searching i came across a link that explains how to stop it. i am running black list at 4320x900. yea i havent ventered into 1080 yet. but soon. any way. set your ghraphics as high as you want and change it from dx11 to dx9 or 10 what ever the other option it gives you. solved it for me. now i start the game with dx11 enabled and no more issues. im running it on one gtx titan super clocked. im at work when i get home ill drop the link in here. as far as the aspect ratio not being right. mine is right on the money from the install. when i get home again ill drop the link and check my settings to actually see if what im telling yall is right

Just wanted to say thanks! These tips from that site/running in 'borderless' window mode helped with the crashes, and if I talk to the people on the plane to start missions I can maintain 3 screens.

A few notes-

I have Nvidia surround with a GTX Titan, and I max everything and run fine. For some reason, with the same settings- when it blacks out the two side windows I have a better FOV than when I'm playing all three screens- like it zooms in just a little once all 3 screens are running. I hadn't noticed this before, but I checked on the same level and it seems to be true. I was running exact same settings- 5760x1080 both single screen (when it was just blacking out side monitors) and with all three. Definitely a closer FOV with all 3 screens.

Anyone know any FOV adjustments?

This game worked perfect out of the box for me, and I just started playing again cause a buddy got it on sale. Sad they went and broke it just a little bit while I was away.

If you are running on triple screen eyefinity and are getting black side-screens even after all the updates.
- Turn on bezel compensation in your catalyst control center.

That literally solved my whole problem, i spent whole last afternoon trying just about everything to get it run with full view, then as a last effort i tried turning on bezel compensation just for laughs. Well it did work. Game devs are real idiots sometimes...

I have the same problem as BlueCoop.

Running the game at 3440x1440 (aspect ratio of 21:9) and there is an option for that aspect ratio in the Video Settings.

The game runs with 2 black borders on the left and right hand side of the screen as if the aspect ratio was 16:9 (like standard 1440p settings).

Got the game from a Humble Bundle about a week ago (Tom Clancy Bundle) and figured the latest of the games should be the one requiring the least amount of tweaking but apparently not.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance.
