Hello again.

I've been through the list over and over again.. Looks like the choice now is between

Asus VK222H 22" and a Dell UltraSharp 2009W 20".

Maybe I should also consider the Dell E2009W - because the Dell E2009WFP is on the confirmed list?

The Asus VK222H looks useable although I'm not a fan of Asus, and I've never actually seen an Asus monitor in real life before.
And lol this thing has got a 1.3MP webcam integrated xD

For just around the same price is the Dell UltraSharp 2009W 20" except for being a 20" I like this monitors specs and looks a lot.

15% cheaper is the Dell E2009W 20" and it seems just fine, an average monitor - although its a 20". I'm not sure if I can trust this to be working in triplehead, since the confirmed list states an Dell E2009WFP.

All those monitor have a native resolution on 1680x1050 ofcourse.

Any input/advice on these monitors? :D
Regards, Excizted.

Well not, if someone else knows something more costeffective or better for triplehead.. And yeah I'd prefer 22" too, but for a Dell 22" in denmark i have to pay 15% more than for the ultrasharp.

Excitzed, if you revisit 2009-01. The best 22" widescreeen all round monitor. you notice that there has been some recent activity.

Frag Maniac, currently known as Fred, observes that around the Dell 2209WA a consensus if forming as *the* monitor to get. It is an e-ISP rather than TN. All I know about these screen types is that e-ISP is generally better than TN. Availability might be a problem.

I dismissed the Dell UltraSharp 2009W because when I looked at it in the shop the text didn't seem to render clear to me.

You acknowledge you'd prefer 22" over 20". I was not so sure before I had my current setup. I and others explored this in Usability of Triple Standard V Triple Wide.

Now that I have my 3 X 22" monitors I am very glad I did not go for 3 X 20". I was worried that 3 X 22" would be too wide, requiring too much head tilting. That is not the case for me, I enjoy using every part of the three screens. Mind you my (alas costly) independent monitor arms allow me to position the monitors at exactly my preferred angle (and height, and depth) and I consider these arms an important part of the solution.

Hi thank you for getting back to me :)

Yeah I did notice the UltraSharp 2209W but the price... is almost scaring here in Denmark, buying just three of those would be more costy than buying four UltraSharp 2009W AND a triplehead2Go box.
All those great cheap sites of America with low tax'n all, Amazon and so on, won't ship hardware into Denmark as theres like ALOT of taxes here.

My only opportunity to buy a Dell 22" would be either going 16:9 (and using an un-native resolution, yuk!) or buying the Dell G2210 which I actually send an e-mail to Dell support, asking if it supports 1680x1050@57hz, but no reply for a few days.

So seems like I either have to buy the G2210 (if i ever find out if they support 57hz), the UltraSharp 20" or some weird brand I've never used before 22".

Dell 2409 would surely be nice for a 1 monitor solution, but throwing all my money at 24" when 22" native is the highest support, I personally think is waste. :)

Well, I more meant the brand. A Dell 22" would be just as impressive I would think.

Yeah Dell is the best ftw :)
Just too bad there's only one 22" Dell available in Denmark, the G2210 that I just don't know if support the 1680x1050@57hz. And it's rather expensive for a 22" 16:10 monitor, so buying it and not being able to use it would be so silly.
