That's the problem. The latest 1.9 patch for Skyrim broke the fixes made by Flawless Widescreen. I played this game last year with no problems and it looked great while using FW. I was going to buy the new DLCs and play again but now that FW won't work it just isn't the same. We will all have to wait until the fix is updated. In the meantime you can try https://www.widescreenfixer.org/. It's not as good as FW but it makes the game playable for now.

Hey Guys!

I am trying to play Skyrim on 2560*1080 resolution. I am using Flawless Widescreen tool and it works quite well effectively doing "Hor+".

But I've got a problem with Skyrim GUI: http://www.screencast.com/t/lNgcyaYbiwL6

The bottom bar is not wide enough for all the screen - it is approximately 2100 pixels wide, while it needs to be whole 2560 pixels wide.

Can anyone help me with a solution to this?

Hello, I have the latest ver of skyrim. (Ver 1.9) and the latest ver of Widescreen Fixer.. and it doesn't seem to be doing what it needs to do with the GUI.. i have read all of the instructions and installed everything like I was supposed to do and i'm getting some really messed up looking stuff...
i have some screen shots but not sure how to post them on here..

if someone could let me know if there is more i need to do, or if i'm missing something here...

Also i have noticed any post on support past skyrim 1.5 doesn't exist. Is there not going to be anymore support for this???????

I know this thread is probably really really old but I hope someone can still help me. I have Skyrim installed. I have Eyefinity enabled. Ive also downloaded anything under the sun that could help me but still no dice. Can someone give me a straight forward fix to this. I have the latest version of Skyrim enabled from steam. I have SKSE. Please can someone help me. Whenever I enable Skyrim using the settings Ive been told, it just shows up as duplicated skyrims on each of the monitors instead of just ONE long one. :(

Is anyone currently playing Skyrim and has it working in Widescreen?

Thought I'd fire this baby up during some time off as I haven't played it in ages and now find that I can't get it to work in Widescreen. Tried both options (Flawless Widescreen & Widescreen Fixer) and both of them aren't working. Best result I get is the middle screen working in the specified resolution from the launcher.

I have the same problem. I have Skyrim v1.8 (dawnguard) and none of the complete HUD fixes (HaYDeN or Helifax's versions) have been updated in forever. Supposedly the Widescreen Fixer app supports Skyrim up to v1.9, but for me all it does is make the HUD worse. It only offsets the HUD which helps nothing. We need to center the HUD on one screen and scale it back to normal so it's not clipping.

If you use stock skyrim for triple monitors it works alright except you will have to disable SkyUI and use Skyrims original HUD to school through your inventory. At least without SkyUI you can see all the items if you scoll.

I'm really disappointed in WSGF community for not creating a fix. Dawnguard has been out forever. Seems like this place seems to be dying as of late. Please someone update a HUD fix for skyrim 1.8 and 1.9!!!

:x :wtf:

Just tried Flawless Widescreen and it doesn't even inject when it detects skyrim, I get an injection error. Unless you're running an old version it won't even enable for v1.8

Does anyone know how to get the crosshair back into the center of the screen(s)? My crosshair is off to the left too much.

I have been using the sweet yet not quite flawless widescreen app with Skyrim, all is well except the crosshair is off to the left too much. i have all the boxes checked including the crosshair fix. Anyone know how to fix this? I am running Soft TH on a gtx 660 ti AMP card across 3 displays: Two 24" monitors on either side of a larger display (each at 1152 x 864 60hz) in portrait mode with a 40" Sharp HDTV (1920 x 1080 60hz) in the center for a combined res of 3648 x 1152. :'D

Any help in fixing the Skyrim crosshair would be infinitely appreciated, i cant aim without it!!! sob. sob. i was frozen twice today by a Northern frost Drake in the hot springs of Skyrim...

My friend... first buy the original game and stop asking to fix your hacked game. Version 1.9 is out for like almost 2 years now. WSGF is AGAINST PIRATED GAMES / SOFTWARE. Read the rules before posting.
That being said I've tested both WSF and FWS plugins and they work ON AN UPDATED version of a LEGIT COPY of the game.

For SOFT-TH you need to manually specify the resolutions + monitors since autodetect can't detect something that is not at driver level...(Think about it ...)

I start up Skyrim, without mods, launch the game while having Flawless Widescreen in the background, nad nothing happens. The game is just copied on every monitor. So I change the SkyrimPrefs-file, and writes in my ultrawide-resolution, open the game, and the game is spun across all three monitors, but ALL UI is on the left. So I test Widescreen Fixer, lauch the game in 16:9, and the game is duplicated once again, but everything is pushed together in the centers of each screen. So I try to change the SkyrimPrefs again, and when I launch the game, everything is pitch black! But if I launch Widescreen Fixer when I'm in a game, the hud is moved, but not centered, and is placed between two of the monitors to the right... Please help me! It worked before I did a system-refresh! :(

Dear all.

I have legit everything and legit Steam Skyrim Version 1.9.32.0.

However, this is the reason why the Ultrawide Fix V 0.91 does not work. It only supports older versions of the game as you can see below in bold with my patch injection output log.

+ Searching for RUNNING Skyrim Process...
+ Skyrim process found...
+ Process opened successfully!
# Image: G:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\TESV.exe
# Version: 1.9.32.0
! This version is not supported, Terminating.
# Supporting: 1.1.21.0, 1.2.12.0, 1.3.7.0, 1.3.10.0

Has there been an update to support the latest version of the game considering a roll back to previous versions via steam is not possible?

Cheers.

The Ultrawide Fix is outdated ! Use Flawless Widescreen or Widescreen Fixer instead.

hello guys, I'm using mod organizer for skyrim and somehow the flawless widescreen fix doesnt work in combination with mod organizer. I think it has to do with mod organizer having its own skyrim ini files. does anybody know a way to get it to work with eachother? or is there an instruction somewhere on how to do it manually?

any help would be appreciated, can no longer stand the black bars on the side of my 21:9 monitor

thanks

In your MO folder there is a profiles folder and in there will be a folder that matches the profile name shown in the top left of MO (drop down named "Profile").

In that folder will be the skyrimprefs.ini that you will edit with your custom resolution.
Update the values,
iSize H=
iSize W=

These should match the values that Widescreen Fixer will use.

The latest version of WF works with Skyrim, SKSE, MO with my ini set up as above.

Also as you are using MO you might want to take a look at this http://wiki.step-project.com/Main_Page. I did it for version 2.2.6 and have 260 mods running so I won't be updating anytime soon but Skyrim sure is pretty.

Let us know how you get on, especially if it works :)

Use the launcher to set whatever quality level you want and save it. Then go to your Documents/My Games/Skyrim folder and find SkyrimPrefs.ini. Once you open that in Notepad go down a little until you see these lines. (It should be line 43,44 or right near it)

iSize H=
iSize W=
That is where you need to put in your resolution. It will have whatever resolution you have been playing at before or whatever you set in the launcher. You can't pick 5760x1080 in the launcher and anytime you use the launcher to change graphics settings it might mess your resolution up. So just change it in this file. Quite frankly, this file has all the detailed graphics settings in it and you have more control over what settings you want to use anyway.
So assuming you are playing at 5760x1080 it would look like this

iSize H=1080
iSize W=5760

Then make sure to hit save and you are good to go. Start up Flawless widescreen make sure the Skyrim plugin is active and start your game. I was just playing it with that plugin less than 10 minutes ago so it definitely works. Let me know if it doesn't work and I'll help you figure it out.

Using Flawless Widscreen plug-in, I am able to play in 5760x1080.
Only problem is the SkyUI menus are way too big and unplayable.
Anyone have a way to get those scaled correctly?

Thanks!

Edit - there is a checkbox in the plug-in. Select it and it is AWESOME!! :rockout:

Ive got softTH running to get it to focus on one of my two screens, but for some reason I cant get the UI/HUD to center and scale properly.
Ive tried giving the resolution to flawless widescreen manually, but it doesn't seem to give a damn. :')

Sokonomi, two ideas you could try:

1. Try borderless instead of SoftTH fullscreen. Use ShiftWindow to position & don't use FWS. Instructions
http://www.wsgf.org/blog/imusrt/2015/04/01/elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-2011-manual-plp-instructions

2. FWS
I did not test FWS well for this game; FWS plugin didn't work properly with Manual PLP. But there are two additional ways to adjust FWS which I neglected to test. Either of these adjustments may fix your problem:
a. insert resolution inside FWS's menu.
b. LUA script file is editable. It can be used to correct HUD etc issues, but you have to read its code first & understand what you are editing.

Revisiting this game... I played it just fine @ 5760x1080 at launch. I'm now having issues with 2560x1080... I'm using Flawless WS and WS Fixer. They both have the same issue - the game menus are completely gone/invisible/off screen. Without them, the HUD/menus are slightly too zoomed in and a few things get cut off (i.e. weight, vendor coin, etc.). Any ideas?

EDIT: Figured it out, I had to change the Display Detection Override Hud X value.

Hi guys, I have come back to the game after a few months, if you check the picture at the bottom right, item details and my carry weight are off the screen. Is anyone else having this issue?

Edit: after more poking about and a reset I found the mod that seems to break even vanilla skyrim - No Snow Under the Roof. It got to a point that it started crashing the game on load. But I can read everything again and the main menu is back Phew!

Can someone help me?? I don't know how to make a new post about this. I bought skyrim for steam and I have a 2560x1080p monitor. I booted up the game fist time in 1080p 16:9 setting as there wasn't a 21:9 option. My monitor booted up a. Message saying "screen now set to 1080p 60hz not 2560x1080p 60hz, some computers don't support this resolution. So the game looks terrible and is stretching 1080p over 2560x1080 pixels. I tried flawless widescreen and it did absolutely nothing for me. I tried changing the United file size and that didn't work either. Finally I tried border less windowed gaming and it didn't work either. If anyone could help me or tell me how to make a new post I would must appreciate it.

For those with problem resolutions (21:9 etc), here are some updated ideas (improved from my previous post).

1. Manual spread has not changed (for PLP, adjust as needed):
Image
http://www.wsgf.org/blog/imusrt/2015/04/01/elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-2011-manual-plp-instructions

2. In FWS, try this (fake PLP, works pretty often).
Go to menu Settings, Configuration, Display Detection. Checkmark Enable Detection Override. Then make the numbers like this:
(for 2560x1080)
Width: 2560
Height: 1080
Hud Width: 1920 (16:9 fake center)
Hud Height: 1080 (16:9 fake center)
Horizontal Display Count: 3 (fake sides)
Vertical Display Count: 1
Hud X: 320 (which is 2560 minus 1920, then divided by 2 = width of fake side)
Hud Y: 0

So new problem today nvidia made me optimize skyrim when I downloaded the new drivers. This then set a resolution and when ran with fws it makes the game appear way to long. (As in my curser is on like the 3rd quarter of the screen no longer centered along with the game) and it looks to be stretching. I can't seem to set any resolution in the launcher or in the inis to fix this please help. Btw I had ran that old comment for 78 hours of the game up until now flawlessly.

Anyone still playing skyrim with eyefinity? FWS fails at startup on latest version.

Is there a way to obtain the last executable compatible with FWS? Any other suggestions?

Just got this working with Widescreen Fixer. The trick is to uncheck "auto detect resolution" and fill in the uncorrected resolution manually to match the .ini file.

Very disappointed in the inability to play original Skyrim on 3 screens, but I suppose it's past the "use by" date. Tried FWS, SkyrimUWv0.91 patch, various resolutions, editing the .INI in a variety of ways, all to no avail.

My problem is doubtless that my displays aren't the same size - I have nVidia GeForce GTX970 running a Toshiba TV between two Samsung monitors. But I still hoped it would be possible.
