Playing the game at 21:9 and it works decent enough. Small black bars on the sides of the screen though. But multi-monitor seems a different story... :thumbdown:

FOV could be higher as well. A setting of 100% feels like its between 70 and 80.

2560x1080 monitor users might get a black screen when starting the game in fullscreen, to get around it for now set the game to windowed mode in options and download borderless gaming to force borderless fullscreen.

The game looks nice in 21:9 but there are lots of issues with ui elements being misaligned.

Yeah, objective markers seem to be misaligned. Looks a lot like MGS 5 without the fix.

There are also very small black bars on either side of the screen at 21:9. I asked the Deus Ex twitter account and they said to report this to http://support.eu.square-enix.com/main. ... 14261&la=2 or http://support.na.square-enix.com/main. ... 14261&la=2 depending on if I was in EU or US, so I did but I can't see where my ticket went.
Here's a screenshot showing the black bars and the enemy spotting pip being misaligned. It always appears to the right of the enemy, at a variable distance. I don't think you can call this particular bug a "minor blemish" meaning the game gets a B.

Well, that's disappointing given that Deus Ex: Human Revolution had reasonably good multi-monitor support. Boo, I say, boo.

DX:HR has awesome triple wide support 'cos i was playing last night. I think that DX:MD does too. Let's see if i can post a link to a screenshot...

Oh, man.. i was so surprised! Was think the triple wide was bonked.. it works Flawless and beautiful!
Cinematics/movies/cutscenes are centered, but theyre not realtime rendered is seems in the intro, so thats ok.

Running Nvidia Surround, I am able to get this working in 5760x1080. I have an issue with framerate though, my 1080 strix can't pull anything more than a 24 fps baseline in surround. For anyone who has this working. Can you report the FPS you are getting and what settings you use?

If you aren't already, disable vsync and MSAA. Those totally destroy your framerate even on regular screens.

Running the benchmark in the extras menu i get an average of 29fps on low quality, and 23fps on medium. In game it's a bit above 30fps (when i bother to look at the steam fps counter). It's smooth enough that i'm not complaining :) DX:HR sits at a perfectly smooth 60fps, so perhaps it's time to persuade the wife that i need to upgrade :D

I'll get 50'ish with everything on highest exept; MSAA=OFF, Vsync=Triple Buff. Hardshadows =OOFF, Shadows=High, Motion Blur=Off. Deep of Field=Off

Gonna OC the cards a bit a and see if its helps, but it seem pretty heavy tanking on cpu too, so i could probably tweak the OC up 2-300Mhz too. Will see if it makes any difference.

If there's no SLI support both cards can still be at 99% utilization. An easy way to check is to compare fps with Exclusive Fullscreen on and off.

I'm asking because of this thread.

It works perfectly out of the box in multi-mon resolution its a perfect A

I have the LG ultra wide 29. The game needs help bad as it will not display 2560x1080p on my screen. Lots of people bitching. The game overlay from steam is displayed but the rest is blank and menus and sounds are all there. If you alt=enter out you can play the game in a window or with border less window program. But the performance takes a hit really bad. I have twin 980gtxs.

I can force my desktop to 3440x1440 and the game will display that way but no way I can play it like that. So there is some issues with 2560x1080p and Lg ultra wide monitors. Really lame. Kind of stressed about it as I love the game and the series but I dont know if it will bve fixed or if I should get a refund.

Hmm that sucks :( , did you try Fullscreen and Exclusive Fullscreen checked off in the launcher?

Ok here is a fix that may work, try forcing your game to be in multi monitor mode:

Use regedit:

Open regedit in windows : go to : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos Montreal\Deus Ex: MD\

-> go to the [Graphics] node:

-> force multi monitor flag to 1 -> [MulitMonitorEnabled] , see the pic check out the other setting and set your resolution:

If anyone htat has a multi monitor setup and its not working this should nuke the black bars and fix your issue. I have a Nvidia system and had to do none of this btw.

Didn't know about the issue until now. Gonna check it out tonight when back from work.
My OC didn't make much difference though, so it might be an issue just as they say in that post.

Anybody have a fix for the marker positions? I'm playing at 3440 x 1440 and It's really difficult to play like this.
In the image I have attached the the marker for the person I am aiming at is the "17m" tag almost half the screen to the right.

No fix yet, but at least it's been officially acknowledged as a known issue that's being worked on: https://mobile.twitter.com/DeusEx/statu ... 2615841793

I'mm all ears for workarounds in the meantime. :D

It seems NV Surround works quite well. So lucky guyz !
I've the black bars with my Eyefinity (runs normally on 6000*1200)

Tried it but, unfortunately, doesn't run without these big blacks bars

They patched it, but don't mention it in the patch notes.

I've searched and searched and can't find anyone commenting on the red filter that is applied when you go below a certain % of HP. I'm playing a stealth build and only see it when I encounter environmental effects, but I was surprised to not find anyone else commenting on it. I have the latest patch on Steam and was hoping there might be an easy way to either A) remove it, or B) scale the image.

Anyone else having this problem?

For now you can disable it in HUD configuration in menu under Gameplay turn Damage Indicator off

I got this response from the The Square Enix Support Centre team this morning in regards to the 21:9 issues:

"The development team are currently aware of some graphical issues for UltraWide displays. We are looking for a way to resolve this and hope to be able to release a patch that will fix any issues for this. we would like to thank you for taking the time to report this to us, we do appreciate our customer's feedback."

Don't tell me -.- I've done a lot of Benchmarking and changed a lot of settings last night.
Then i reset the AMD Crimson Profile for Deus Ex, and now i'm stuck on the exact same Problem as you -.-
GRaaaahhhhhh..... gonna try the regedit to see if that helps...

I tried to fix it by the regedit, unfortunately it didn't fix anything. Even with the multimonitor argument set to 1, nothing changed.

[26-08-2016] PC Patch notes for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Patch build 524.10

The following fixes are in this patch:
Adjustments to the Mouse Sensitivity settings, which mean that you can now set sensitivity for the X and Y axis separately.
Increased range of Mouse Sensitivity settings.
Fixed an issue that could cause missing geometry in the Dubai level.
Fixed an issue with player movement and running on stairs and sloped surfaces.
Fixed various issues with 21:9 setups.
Fixed an issue where the “Unmark All” prompt would stay on screen.
Field of view setting now displays the angle used.

EDIT: it seems the problem with the small black bars on the sides of the screen has been fixed, the misaligned markers have not.

Argh the black bars were the least of my worries, tracking enemies with markers is basically impossible right now, and interacting with small things is very hard.

damnit.. I should have checked her BEFORE I payed $90(USD) for the game. I'm downloading now... I'm not expecting much after seeing the thread here but I'll report back once it's installed... I'm running a 5930k(4.3ghz) + 32gb RAM + 3x gtx 970.

At least I have 2 hours to dick around before I get a refund.

Well.. Ive certainly had my fair share of beers this evening.. so I can't give a 100% fair assessment just yet... but with my rig and high preset I don't seem to have much trouble with maintaining 50-60FPS... however even with motion blur set to off there seems to be quite a bit of motion blur happening. It's enough that I can't deal with it in my current state. Hopefully it's a bug because I don't even think sober me could deal with it. :D

EDIT: The patch has introduced a new 21:9 bug (at least for me) involving quest markers. See next post.

512.15 Patch 3 did fix interactive item markers for me on 21:9 (2560x1080)!

Unfortunately, NPCs marked with the LiDAR Mark-Tracker still have their markers off to the right.

Less importantly, the red Damage/LowHeath haze is sill confined to a 16:9 area as well.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this progress. Interacting with people and objects was very frustrating with the markers misaligned, and now it's fixed. I can deal with not using LiDAR and turning off the red haze in the meantime (though I hope they get fixed eventually).

The patch has introduced a new 21:9 bug (at least for me). Now when a quest marker goes off the left of the screen (due to the player turning right), it disappears. But when it goes off the right if the screen (due to the player turning left) it stays on the edge of the screen and points in the direct you'd need to turn to be facing it. I've uploaded a video to show this.

So I was trying to run Deus Ex Mankind Divided on a 4K TV, but with a 21:9 aspect ratio (letterboxed). While the custom resolution worked (in my case 3840x1640 @ 50Hz) the game still seemed to render at a 16:9 aspect ratio and stretch the image horizontally. I could not find an aspect ratio option in the menu, but there is in the registry. To edit this value, open regedit and go here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos Montreal\Deus Ex: MD\Graphics\

Look for the key AspectRatio (it defaults to 0). Find your ratio by dividing pixel width by height then times by 1000 to get a whole number.

So, for me, I did (3840 / 1640) x 1000 = 2341

In the registry key for AspectRatio, set it to Decimal and then enter the 4 digit number. Now the game should render correctly.

Ultra wide support is so poor on this game.

C'mon dev, please, 4 years ago Human Revolution was so cool in Eyefinity

Mine doesn't I also have these black bars. Tried reinstalling and all. Can't get the "Eyefinity" to show up in the resolution settings.

I contacted the support and they told me "OK, we will patch this, don't worry" that was 5 patches ago -.-

this finally went on sale on steam so giving it a try. started the game up and got 11fps at 5760x1080 with dual GTX 1080's... v1.11 build 616.0

after updating to current nvidia driver, 375.95, seems like the main issue with bad frame rates is the MSAA setting. fps is terrible unless MSAA is disabled in the game display settings.

I am getting a pretty constant 60fps at 5760x1080 with infrequent frame rate drops to 50-55fps. disabling lens flare seems to have made the frame drops even more infrequent.

Some updates have been released......Eyefinity still not detected in the launch option panel. I'm still stucked with these big black bars on each side. I think devs prefer to work on DLC's instead of debbuging their game.

Hi guys. Long time no see ;)
I've upgraded my vga to a new one and now I can play this game but I have a small issue with it and I don't know how to solve it.

I have NV GTX1070, 375.70 drivers, I play on 24" monitor with 1920x1200 resolution which means 16:10 aspect ratio. The main view in game looks good, no stretched things but when I, in example, activate something, like "E" button (search), I see something like in the picture I posted above. That circle is stretched verticaly. The funny thing is that only this circle is stretched, nothing else. Is there a solution to fix that?

Has there been any update on getting this game to work at 32:9. I'm running the new CRG9 monitor and I've tried all the registry edit fixes and I still can't get DE:MD to show up beyond 21:9

I've purchased a 32:9 monitor as well and would like to be able to play the game in 5120x1440 as well. So, if there are any updates/tipps on that it would be greatly appreciated.
