I can remember three different occasions when somebody wrote up a tutorial on hex editing .exe files. You clearly didn't search hard enough to find them.

Personally, I tested the game on resolutions (on single monitors) ranging from 1152x768 to 2560x1600 and the HUD, turret view, 3rd person, text and topbar worked flawlessly. Certainly not what the screenshots in this thread OP shows.

All solutions for widescreen (both in the master game list and in this forum) are quite outdated . Hudshift.dll, jflp.dll, cameras.ini and prefoptions.ini changes are bound to be wrong on resolutions other than those ...
