Re: NVidia Surround Struggles
Hrmm I'm not experiencing the issue on my rig but will ask a few others who also use surround for gaming (joys of friends/family sharing of steam libraries is it opens up the potential testers).

Re: NVidia Surround Struggles
Going from 180 frames to 11 by simply going from 1920x1080 to 5760x1080 is not common and I wouldn't be surprised to find there is an issue involved. I'll try and hop into Dirt 3 tonight or tomorrow to see if I experience the same issue (2x 970s here) and 5760x1020 instead of 1080

I have a 1280x1024 and it would be fantastic to play it without black bars.
Dark Souls 3 has a provided fix.
Souls Unsqueezed seems to work quite well.

Re: What is the best GPU setup for 3 monitors?
What card really depends. Be sure it has the appropriate ports needed (for example: when I was choosing a card, I already had 3 monitors that used display port, so I needed to make sure my card(s) had 3 display ports available on the same card). This narrowed down my selection as some of the same ...

Stating something like widescreen fixer as "a steaming pile of crap" is terribly offensive. It works well for many people.

Re: Dark Souls III - 21:9 Broken
How insulting is it that they release a game with no 21:9 support when it was such a simple line of code they could have altered to get it working, then someone figures it out for them and we start playing it.. in the correct aspect ratio *shock horror, we can't have people using correct aspect ...

Re: Dark Souls III - 21:9 Broken
Something else to consider is that due to the nature of soft-bans, it's pretty hard to know at an instant if you've been banned or not. Heck, I'd imagine some go their entire time with a game without realizing that they're being penalized.

Re: Dark Souls III - 21:9 Broken
Helixfax, while I too have had 0 issues with widescreenfixer or flawless widescreen in the past, I've heard cases of DS2FIX resulting in quite a few people being put into the cheater-pool via softbans.
Now it could be that quite a few people were in fact cheating and decided to blame DS2Fix, I don ...

Re: Dark Souls III - 21:9 Broken
I'm debating if i want to play online with it too.
I really think someone needs to contact From Software and get a stance on this.
It should be noted that playing offline may not even save people from soft-bans should they deem this ban-worthy. DS3 has a built-in anticheat that runs even when in ...

Re: 3 displays, 2 graphic cards, how to optimize?
So you have 2 cards of different generations.
They should all ideally be plugged into your GTX980.
Yes, having 2 cards, even if they're different generations can help for gaming but not in the way you're thinking.
The 570 should be set as a designated/dedicated physics cards. Your 980 will be ...

I wasn't aware that there were non-steam versions. The fix works just fine on my steam copy.

Uhh, why would you use Razed's link? He mentioned that he was using a fov fix prior to the one posted by Jackfuste.
Use Jackfuste's modified exes and call it a day.
As far as the lense flare issue, not sure but I'm sure someone will look into it =)

The fix is included in Flawless Widescreen v1.0.12 .
The name is misleading, but it is an entirely different program than the current Flawless Widescreen. It's not a downgrade. You can use FWS 1.0.12 just for Alice, and keep the "real", current FWS installed at the same time for other games.

Re: Multi-Game Widescreen Fixer
Pretty sure the devs of MW have gone out of their way to break fov changes. It's unlikely anyone will write a fix for it again as they've started banning for fov changes.

Yes, it would seem that the tool is still being supported. Hayden is pretty quick on adding support for new games.
